We are Finally getting ready to farm!

Hello Everyone!  We are so excited as we begin to plan and bring our sustainable garden to life.  As they used to say on the "A Team," we love it when a good plan comes together!

You may be wondering why we are calling ourselves sustainable instead of organic.  It is illegal to use the word organic in regard to our farm without being first certified by the USDA and that is a lengthy process  and has expenses attached to it, which we are considering undertaking.  But, since we are just starting we consider ourselves sustainable and we do use heirloom seeds and some of them are also organic.  We do not use pesticides or herbicides on our gardens. Many small farms throughout the United States refer to themselves as "sustainable."  They may be meeting or exceeding the standards set by the National Organic Program (NOP).

We will be posting pictures of our farm as it comes together.  We have posted our plans for our garden, what we plan to grow, what we are going to grow in the future and when our online catalog will be posted.

We invite you to go through our pages and learn all about Cove Hollow Farm!
