Cove Hollow Farm is part of a much larger farm that was owned by my Great, Great Grandfather, John Morgan. My Great Grandfather Crit Morgan inherited a portion of that land. Then, he divided his farm between his children. Cove Hollow Farm was the portion he left to his son, Elmer Morgan. We purchased the land from Elmer's children.
We originally wanted the land because Neal (my husband) liked to hike the hills around the old home place. So, we purchased the 55 acres. Then, since we had retired, the idea of starting a small farm began to slip into our minds.
However, what followed was two and a half years of family illness and we are just now starting to change our dreams into reality.
This will be a family effort. We are all excited to see the old homestead start to come alive.
Check back from time to time to see our progress! Thanks for dropping by!
